Extreme winter Rivernord parka in Chukotka

Winter clothing for extreme cold has been specially developed for Russian regions with the harshest climates — Siberia, Yakutia, and the Far East. According to sales statistics from our online store, residents of Siberia, Yakutia, and the Far East account for about 70% of our customers. Our winter parkas and jackets have repeatedly been tested in real weather conditions in Yakutia and Siberia, where they were pushed to their limits and proved effective in severe frost.

Extreme Winter Expedition / Siberia parkas for Yakutia and Siberia

The Extreme Winter Expedition / Siberia series of parkas and jackets is designed for use in extremely low temperatures. Every element of our winter jackets and parkas has been carefully thought out, so each garment functions as a precisely engineered system adapted to specific conditions of use. This approach ensures a high level of protection against cold, wind, and other harsh weather conditions.

Features of Clothing for Extreme Cold

Because the Far East, Siberia, and Yakutia, including Oymyakon — one of the coldest places in Russia — are known for dry, freezing winters, the materials used in production are selected specifically for such climates. Thanks to the 33% cotton content combined with polyester, the outer fabric of the parkas and jackets remains comfortable to wear, does not crackle, and does not stiffen in severe frost. Lightweight insulation made of ultrafine fibers creates an air layer, reliably retains heat, is evenly distributed throughout the garment, and keeps its shape and properties even after repeated washing and long-term use. The lining and insulation are made of 100% polyester. Depending on the model, the winter jackets and parkas are designed for temperature ranges from −15 to −50 °C, from −10 to −45 °C, and from −5 to −30 °C.

Clothing for Extreme Cold in Detail

Every detail of clothing for extreme cold has an important function and contributes to the overall performance of the garment. Protection from wind is provided by a deep detachable hood with height adjustment, a detachable raccoon fur trim, and windproof lining and snow skirt. Additional protection against cold air penetration is provided by insulated outer and inner storm flaps with hook-and-loop fasteners. Multiple pockets, including insulated and zippered ones, make it easy to carry documents, communication devices, gloves, and other essential items that need to be kept close at hand in freezing weather.

Care for Clothing for Extreme Cold

Our winter parkas and jackets for extreme cold are easy to care for, resistant to dirt, and designed for long-term use. The garments withstand repeated machine washing well, while retaining their color, shape, appearance, and functional properties. This is especially important for winter clothing that is used regularly and must remain reliable throughout the season.

It is important to keep in mind that clothing for extreme cold works most effectively only when combined with properly selected additional layers and season-appropriate footwear. When the layering principle is followed, a winter parka or jacket provides the necessary warmth, comfort, and protection even in the conditions of a severe northern winter.
